Granddaddy Purple Cannabis Seeds Feminized
Granddaddy Purple (GDP) Feminized is a legendary indica-dominant hybrid best known for its deep relaxation, dessert-like grape terpenes, and gorgeous purple hues when conditions are right. Commonly listed as a cross of Purple Urkle × Big Bud, this classic cultivar blends loud flavor with dense, resin-rich flowers and serious bag appeal.
With a commonly reported THC content of 20–27% and low CBD, Granddaddy Purple delivers a fast wave of calm that melts into a heavy, soothing body effect. It’s a top choice for evening sessions, downtime, and anyone who wants a classic “wind down” strain (dose-dependent).
Flavor, Aroma & Overall Experience
GDP is famous for its unmistakable profile: sweet grape, berry, and a rich earthy base with a slightly spicy finish. After a proper cure, the fruit-candy sweetness gets even louder—perfect for connoisseurs who chase flavor as much as potency.
Effects are commonly described as euphoric at first, quickly turning into a physically relaxing, sometimes sleepy finish. If you like powerful indica-style comfort without harshness, GDP belongs in your lineup.
Why Grow Granddaddy Purple Feminized?
- Iconic Purple Urkle × Big Bud genetics – classic flavor + dense, productive flowers.
- Grape-berry terps – loud aroma and dessert-style taste.
- Resin-heavy buds – frosty colas and standout bag appeal.
- Feminized reliability – efficient grows without worrying about males.
Growing Granddaddy Purple (Indoor / Outdoor / Greenhouse)
Granddaddy Purple is a photoperiod feminized strain with a commonly listed indoor flowering time of 8–10 weeks. Outdoors, many growers aim for an early October harvest (climate-dependent). GDP typically stays a manageable medium height and responds well to basic training and strong airflow—especially late flower when buds tighten up.
- Color tip: Cooler night temperatures late in bloom can help bring out deeper purple tones (without stressing the plant).
- Support: Dense colas can get heavy—stakes or a trellis help near finish.
- Airflow: Maintain steady airflow and stable humidity for thick, resinous buds.

People giving low stars for having no purple is crazy! If you have too much nitrogen in your grow you get no purple also it depends on pheno types.. sometimes you just don't get the color. Also there's dropping temps in low 60s at night that helps being out purples etc. You can't just grow a plant and expect purples. It takes work and a bit of luck! Ugh

Okay for all those saying no purple do you realize how cannabis seeds work? Every plant is different could be dozens to hundreds of phenotypes so finding that pictured plant takes effort you probably have to plant at least 50-100 and find that phenotype!! Giving low stars ⭐️ for no purple is silly

Very disappointed, there is no purple at all, it has been flowering for 10 weeks, and the pruning has been cultivated twice, there is no purple at all, it is completely different from the picture
